If neuro is your first choice, you should wait a bit (mid-october maybe) and apply for more places. 20 is not enough IMHO. Sorry to sound rough, but big white programs like UTSW will filter you by your scores. Choose where to apply wisely. Good luck! |

Here's what just1ice rejection letter really said:
Dear hard working and depressed applicant,
Thank you for your interest in neurology residency training at UT Southwestern
Medical Center in Dallas. We have chewed on your application. After spilling coffee and sugar
all over it, we are sorry that we could not read it. Please keep in
mind that we recieve over 400 applications for our 6 residency positions, so there are many
chumps like you out there and quite frankly you just didn't cut it for
what ever reason. We evaluated candidates pictures mostly and decided that this year
we will select those with the best smile and blondest hair (even if bleached).
Cheer up you poor chump. Good luck with you future especially if it isn't with us.

match and unfortunately "(...you are not one of them)" do not have the capacity to interview each applicant.

If the situation was reversed.....Programs would apply to us instead....and pay an application fee for every applicant above 25....and would check their ERAS every 5 minutes to see if applicants have responded....
