This is my first attempt, just wanted to keep things ready to have a higher success chance with residency interviews. It was not easy but in the end, it will be done one day and i hope we all get to what we want. This forum, friends helped immensely. I did not participate much but read extensively on this forum posts and experiences -- they do help a lot!
Here is a bit of my experience, feel free to ask if you need suggestions or help!

I prepared 3 months, study time about 4 hours each day. Almost spent entire 2 weeks on preparing thoroughly for CCS. My CCS bars were very high. Those who are going through step 3 process, do not ignore CCS.
I think the highest yield CCS stuff are :
1. Archer CCS - a definite drilling on what's really important and why it is so for CCS. Archer thoroughly drills in to two most important things : it's not just diagnosing that's most important but it is how you keep time to action ( simulated time) low by key strategies and how you need to monitor, time your orders and how you must not forget monitoring toxicity and efficacy. Software is tricky, but if you know a few tricks, you can milk it to your advantage. Do all archer cases videos, about three showed up directly on my test.
2. Its really important to practice on FRED software the way archer guides in the videos. Lot of tests do not come back same day. The key is what test to choose and how you time it. are they stable or unstable? what guides your next step and quickly so? Archer helps quite a bit in clarifying these but you need to do abit of additional reading too.
3. UWORLD, Print out and simulated cases. Practice well. You are left to yourself to practice but when you do it more, you get more grasp. I did UW following Archer and practicing and understanding the flow was quite easy.

Highest yield theory and q-bank stuff:
1. UWorld qbank for practice
2. NBME all forms to assess yourself
3. Archer videos for knowing next best steps and pathophysiology

you can have some reflective score on NBME without CCS. It is not very accurate for overall score but measures your chance of passing well if we did atleast average on CCS
