  what 22% step1? that includes biostat + Ethics. there is no way step1 is 22%.

this is step 3 exam. usmle wants to wake sure that we can take care of the pt.... not knowing mechanisms or rare genetic disorders

A 27-year-old man is brought to the emergency department by his roommates because of an inability to walk. He began to notice some problems with his balance 2 days ago, and his walking has become progressively worse since then. He had an episode of optic neuritis in the right eye 3 years ago. He is 157 cm (5 ft 2 in) tall and weighs 55 kg (121 lb); BMI is 22 kg/m2. His temperature is 37įC (98.6įF), pulse is 55/min, respirations are 10/min, and blood pressure is 110/70 mm Hg. Examination shows spastic lower extremities and moderate weakness of the left lower extremity, more prominently in the flexor than in the extensor muscles.   Read that pdf and it shows. You donít need know every step 1 things but general concepts you do. Good luck j

Fro 2 Pac. There is some basic science in the first day. It is mainly pathophysiology and statistics very little micro. Those are in the first day. I do not think it is a big deal. I did not specifically studied basic science or step1 stuff except for the statistic videos I specified above. The real exam has more pathophysiology than UW for sure. So keep that in mind.

I entered step 3 with an intention just to pass safely.
