* Writing step 1 after 7 years of first attempt

  I wrote step 1 in December 2013 n got a score of 210 .due to various reasons I did not continue further ..as my score expires dec 2019 I would like to write my step 1 exam again ..will that effect my CV and chances of getting residency

  hi...I want to give step 1 in 2020 also...looking for an sp to stay accountable..have two kids(toddler & baby)...so time is a very precious commodity....

  The step scores will expire after 7 years, it will be 7 years for you in 2020. Still have chance complete CK and CS exam before it expires so that you wont need to take the exam again once you are ECFMG certified.

  If you complete the step 1 exam and get good score in all the steps this time you will be having better chances for matching and you can improve your CV by gaining hans-on clinical experience in the specialty you want to match.
