* Cardiogenic Shock
 #862304

  Could someone please explain to be the hemodynamic parameters of cardiogenic shock? Specifically, in regards to PCWP. I understand that with cardiogenic shock, we see the following:

Increased: HR, CVP, & SVR
Decreased: CO, & O2 Sat.

I was under the impression that PCWP increases with cardiogenic shock, however, I ran into a UWorld question that suggest cardiogenic shock caused by a LV infarct results in increased PCWP while a RV infarct results in decreased PCWP.

Can anyone validate this and possibly provide me with an explanation? Thanks.
