Which of the following statements is the MOST ACCURATE description of the molecular basis of Hemophilia?

A. Genetic engineering eliminates the risk of HIV-infection from purified clotting factors.
B. The gene for factor VIII has been cloned
C. Cloned factor VIII genes have been used to synthesize large quantities of facotr VIII for Rx of hemophilia
D. Hemophilia is caused by factor VIII deficiency which results from an insertion of retrotransposons into factor VIII gene introns
B. The gene for factor VIII has been cloned
A should be bset answer.

although B and C are correct. but hemophilia has A and B.
As the question says most accurate..correct ans is D.....Factor VIII gene mutations, leading to hemophilia are caused by insertions of L1 nonviral retrotransposons in exon 14 of the hemophilia gene, distrupting normal gene function.

I realized after posting the question that there is a slight mistake in the ans D instead of exon it says introns...sorry that's how it shows in the source.
