Which of the following is the most likeley diagnosis?

A

) Asthma

B

) Bronchiectasis

C

) Chronic bronchitis

D

) Emphysema

E

) Pulmonary fibrosis
answer is d
can you tell me why?
no, in emphysema there's no prolonged expiration...it's like asthma ????????
I think its E
with restictive type and nonproductive cough its more likely fibrosis. Correct me if I am wrong
I chose D by exluding others.
D.........
its Asthma......since asthma is a reversible disease there is NO CLUBBING. all other chronic diseases have clubbing due to hypoxia. in this case if you say emphysema its a chronic one because in the question it is clearly stated that he has nonproductive chronic cough & if its chronic emphysema there has to be clubbing.
