to get residency , is canadian citizenship of any advantage

Hi, I am a canadian citizen and I think the only advantage would be at the time of giving your CS exam and doing observerships,not in terms of getting the actual residency as all canadian citizens would also require JI/HIB for that purpose..no exceptions.Hope it helps.
