actually in my case, since i had an mspe, i placed the letter from my dean under LOR

I thought they are the same. R they different? Is it compulsory to provide it?
its not compulsory for img to provide them coz most of the img schools dont provide one. if u dont have one, just inform ecfmg-eras, so that they'll write a filler note stating that u dont have one.
before they reqd a deans letter, but they substituted it for an mspe.
so since my school gave me both, i submitted the mspe and used the letter as an LOR
