this may be a stupid question but suppose you had to do a physical exam on a female patient that from the history called for a thorough lung and cardiac exam

and lets say that u got a patient with large breasts??

plz...i need to know how to go about draping and accessing the female in this setting

one thing is clear u never do the female breast exam at all. No inspection, palpation etc.
Infact they strictly tell just before exam during rotaion.
i dont know if i answer ur q.

thats not a stupid q. u have to request the patient to lift up her left breast to feel her heart beat and to listen to mitral area.
