Interpret it like this:
positive guaiac test = occult intestinal bleeding.
if patient is more than 50 years: think cancer!
if patient is a small kid = meckels diverticulum... (is an option)

i think its a test for occult blood coming from bleeding proximal to the ligament of treitz...
