I am currently looking for research positions in neurology or neuroscience, please email me at dorsalroot if you have information, thanks.

My background is in immune cell involvement in neuro-inflammation and pain. Expertise in rodent surgery and behavioral pain assessment, with experience in in-vivo studies, western blot, immunohistochemistry and neuronal cell cultures. Strong written, oral communication skills, and computer skills with some experience in SAS statistical software.


EXPERIMENTAL APPROACHES
Rodent surgery and neuropathic pain models: Loose constriction injury of the sciatic and spinal nerve using catgut sutures; subcutaneous plantar injection of capsaicin, complete Freund™s adjuvant and carrageenan (unpublished work).
Cell biology: Maintenance of neuronal cell line; isolation of neutrophils from whole blood; immunohistochemistry.
Protein Biochemistry: Western blot; enzyme assays.
Neuropathic pain assessment: Paw thermal stimulation device and von Frey mechanical filaments. Others: Fluorescence microscopy; fluorescent activated cell sorting.
