in ventilator settings,

po2 is affected by peep n fio2

pco2 is affected by rr n tidal volume

whenever po2 is anormal,adjust peep or fio2 n same for pco2 by adjusting rr or tidal vol

so if po2 is high,either fio2 or peep is too hig.reduce either one accordingly.when u put a pt on vent,initiall u may keep fio2 as high as 70-80%.but after the first abg results do the adjustments.
normal fio2 is bw 40-50%.
peep-5
tv-6ml per kg
rr-not sure think 12-14 per min
