The most specific finding on radiograph for a
radial head fracture is:
A) Anterior fat pad sign.
B) Posterior fat pad sign.
C) Trusseauâ„¢s sign.
D) Medial fat pad sign.
Bb
B.... most senesitive.
The correct answer is B. The posterior fat pad sign,
which indicates an effusion in the joint, is the most
specific of the findings for a radial head fracture. An
anterior fat pad sign is the most sensitive.
There is no medial fat pad sign, and while there
might be a Trusseauâ„¢s sign somewhere, it is not at all
related to the radial head.
