A 28-year-old man who lives in a small rural township is admitted to the hospital because of gastrointestinal bleeding. On admission the patient is pale and has orthostatic hypotension. Hemoglobin concentration is 8 g/dL. His condition is stabilized. Emergent upper endoscopy shows a visible gastric vessel, which is treated appropriately.

he is too young to develop vericeal disease.....that too without h/o alcohol.....since he is a rural patient....Hb of 8 means chronic h/o bleeding.....pale n orthostatic hypotension means volume depletion in this case........he seems to be a c/o Iron deficiency due to infection probably Hookworm......
answer to first is C......
since this guy is having iron deficiency anemia i will further like to do iron studies....e....
I might be thinking wrong.....correct me with reference......
there is no indication of alcohol history.....we cant just presume it......
