A patient with intermittent chest pain that comes to the office and u evaluate with stress ecg and confirm stable angina, has ldl of 90, do u give statin as part of his mgt?

Your input will be apreciated.
i think the cut off point is
LDL 100
so i would not start statin
All patients with stable angina are to be started on aspirin and statins
regardless of ldl level?, b/c its only 90 i think with risk factor or CAD the cut off is LDL 100

i am confuse know!!

all stable angina pt should be on
aspirin
nitrates
b blocker or ca channel blocker
statin

with life style modification like
stop smoking
wt reduction
exercise
limit alcohol
stress reduction
Is ststin decrease mortality?except of the fact that statin decreaseldl? I known for aspirin and B-blocker they decrease mortality and nitrares is for pain and his vasodilation effect.
I know that if a person has presents with an acute coronary sdr, statin is part of the initial mgt. Then u do the lipid profile. If it's greater than 70, u continue statin indefinitely.

For a person with stable angina and smoking/ DM/PVD/AS, the target ldl is same as for Acute Cor. Sdr.
give statin
yeah b blocker, ace i ,statins and aspirin decrease mortality
