Has anyone come across a published list of correct management for the step 3 example CCS cases?
Nobody has done this? Surprising. It would be a good exercise.

I have questions regarding case 3 (boy with ITP).

After admitting and starting methylprednisolone and IVIG, he responds within 24 hours. His platelets go from 20k to 56k. 24h later, he goes to 90k.

At this point, I want to d/c him to be managed as outpatient, but I keep seeing stool is positive for blood. He H&H is stable though, so I think he can go home. At this point how should he be managed? Continue IV meds? D/C IV meds and start PO prednisone? Or should he stay in the hospital?

Any thoughts?
