hahaha! how rude!

Can they be that rude?? don't we have the right to complain somewhere if one of the PDs are not following the rules? i think if more than one person got that e mail from them.. why don't they complain to the ERAS? i understand that it might not lead to anything but it might. i just hate the fact that we accept anything that is said or done to us just because we are FMGs! it is really unfair! i think we can make something to prevent further torture for us and for the future generations!

And they expect courtesy and collegial manners from us........
What shame!!!
I am not suprise that comes from a surgeon anyway, they hate writing.

@ yvyhope
I agree. They demand perfectionism from others to the extent that they sometimes start contradicting their own requirements e.g. they want extensive research and clinical experience but want fresh graduation year too. Similarly they expect everything perfect from an organized ERAS application to exceptional PS, scores, interview, verbal and body language and thank you letter, but when it comes to them, it is just the opposite. We are expected to apply on September 1st, but they take all the time in the world just to send two measly words "not interested".

Thanks buddy for your kind words and suggestions. I did try all that you are suggesting, but no luck so far. Sometimes it is AMG Vs IMG,sometimes it is intra department politics, sometimes it is unwritten policy and sometimes it is simply plain misfortune.

@raj446
It is a major university program in the north east where AMGs are preferred..... which is a huge drawback of doing research in a large university program, but then, since the economic downturn, most research opportunities are now getting limited to the larger university based institutions only.
