if u have previous clinical experience of internship/residency then u can pass it wid a week prep o/w 3-6 weeks of full time prep is sufficient.personally i did it wid 1 week prep b4 exam.

Hi,
The main part of this examination is how well do you relate and COMMUNICATE with the SP - NOT medicine. The CS is essentially a medical TOEFL.
So, the amount of time needed really depends on the current level of your English communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
If your English skills are pretty good, then the practice time frame as posted by drmaverick should be a reasonable 'ball park' figure. However, PLEASE take this examination seriously! It really is unlike any exam you've probably taken in the past.
