a 12 years old girl presents to you with pain in lower leg for the last two weeks. x ray showed 'soap bubble' appearance . what is the next best step in managemnet:

a. office bone biopsy

b. antibiotic prescription and discharge

c. technetium bone scan

d. refer to orthopedics

biopsy i guess..it can be aneurysmal bone cyst but can be seen in other condition as well like GCT....so biopsy.

D is correct

D ...i though never refer in exams??????????

this is an exception .. bone biopsy is full of risks and may involve use of gen anesthesia or spinal.. radiographic findings of tumor.. sufficient to refer to ortho..!
