((First is :When to Initiate Treatment)) --->
Cryptorchidism should be treated when the patient is aged approximately 6 months.
This age recommendation has been pushed up over recent decades and is based on
(1) the rarity of spontaneous descent after age 6 months and
(2) the possible improvements in fertility that early intervention may confer
Primary hormonal therapy with hCG (In US, GnRH or LHRH is not used)
((Second is: When to do Surgical treatement)) --->
Definitive surgical therapy should be performed between ages 6 and 12 months.
