How are the levels of TSH T3 and T4 in Iodine deficiency?
TSH- normal/increased
T3- normal/slightly elevated
T4- normal/decreased
Iodine def resulting in goiter have low t3 t4 that causes an increase in tsh and stimulation of the gland .This result in a growth of the gland and a goiter. Initially goiter is difusse then nodular.
