Pt on insulin requires large doses & gradually becoming less responsive to insulin -->Next best step ?
change the type of insulin?
Note: This pt is developing Insulin resistance.
add glitazone as next step?
yes add metformin/ thiazolidinedione (to decreases insulin resistance)

(a) Amylin Analogs (Pramlintide)
(b) GLP-1 agonist (Exenatide)
