Hey Adrian, donno why I can't post a reply to your query on ADH. So am posting this new message.
.In primary polydypsia the patient is taking in too much free water. This is supposed to dilute his plasma and it does. Now the kidneys ain't got a problem, so they will do their best to get rid of the extra water the patient is taking. For that mater, the body reduces ADH so that less water is re-absorbed in the collecting duct. We want to get rid of the extra free water right?. So permeability should go down letting the water to be excreted. The book is correct, the video might be wrong.
