 A 49-year-old blue-eyed, blonde-haired Caucasian woman presents to clinic requesting treatment for "this unattractive redness of my facial skin." She reports that in the past three months, she has developed new blemishes on her nose, cheeks, and chin. She has also noticed that she now flushes intensely in response to extreme temperatures, emotion, and the consumption of spicy foods or alcohol.
