Why do we cancel the pt's HCTZ, which he is already taking fr HTN....after giving antibiotics and before doing LP?????

also i saw that in one of the read out cases in CCS .. they have cancelled atenolol ...why is that ?
can someone plz list the drugs that have to be stopped while admitting a case .
eg metformin is cancelled and insulin in sliding scale is added
what ellse ?
