some points that always confuse us:

lesion of CN III: eyeball abducted (external strabismus) : due to unopposed action of lateral rectus (CN VI) and superior oblique(CN IV)

lesion of CN VI: medial deviation of eye due to unopposed action of Medial Rectus (CN III)

lesion of CN XII: tongue deviated to the affected side due to unopposed action of genioglossus on the normal side. ( normal function of genioglossus is protrusion of tongue)
