Hi. Can anyone tell me what is the difference between the categorical primary care and the non primary care positions.

Primary care is with the mindset that u go into primary care. U will have more outpatient rotations than inpatients. Fellowship is possible but it is more diffiult becos for example while u doing more ambulatory blocks the categorical guy is doing electives in his/her subspecialty.
If u wanna go into primary care....it is the way to go.
Having said that...I say who cares...we all wanna enter into the system...so I say same thing
@nrmp2012. Thank you so much for the help.
DId you get an email for an Primary care track in NJ/NY program today? Saying that they are willing to interview you even though their interview season ends this week?
