My credential;
240/250+/pass/230+, all first time. Two IM observership for 1 month and 3 months each at univ. Hospital. 2 years of clinical research experience in a prestigious univ. with several publications. YOG 2006. GC holder.
Applied to lots of IM programs.

I got only two ivs, and did not match. I really do not know what I should do more to improve my CV!
I can't change my YOG. I just wanna give up.
Please... I'm so depressed. Can't see any hope
you having green card and with such credentials got 2 IV's .... either you are not stating the fact or something is really wrong with your application .
That's why I do t know what to do.. I don't see anything wrong except YOG
were you applying for neurosurgery ?
IM only
Any advice? Please help me :-(
Honestly, IM is getting really competitive. I think you need to start adding other specialties, like FM and maybe even psych. I know you can't change your YOG, but doing SOMETHING in a place where a PD and associate PD get to know you and see your work ethic would be helpful. I'm not sure how helpful strengthening CV's are, but working on things like your PS and LOR's would be useful.
I was thinking about changing my specialty, but all of my career is related with IM. It's not easy to apply for other specialty with IM heavy CV.
You don't need to change your specialty. Just broaden it. And FM is hardly affected by an IM-heavy CV. Do something with kids, it'll round you out.
