I failed with a 189..

clueless..............

hi OP - hopefully, you already submitted your applications or are in residency. Otherwise, prepare yourself for step 3 again now asap.

When you took your UWSA, what was your score?

How was your preparation ?

I took my Step 2 ck in May. I started prep for step 3 in April. Extremely On n Off prep with my toddler son..

Cleared assessments with 215 in UWSA and 410 in NBME 3....!!!

N today I failed with a 189...so torturously close...

Any word about score re-check??

score re check is useless, don't even try. My advice, get back to study and try again. you are so close, and you will pass when you take it next time.

Sorry to hear tht...May God give you the strength to go thru these difficult times.

I had a friend of mine who couldn't make it in step 2 ck 1st time around. He opted for a score recheck, and it didn't do any good.

I mean it's another $80...nothing compared to what u have spent so far.. if you want to do it for your peace of mind, go for it!

I feel so lost...

Yeah i know score recheck has very remote possibility of success but cuz my score is so close to pass.. Like kindmd said i vil go for it for my peace of mind.....

So sorry to hear that. How was your CCS performance? Was it the reason that bring down your score?
I pray that you will find strength to try again.

Don't give up. You can do much better next time!

In the ccs score report there are only 2 stars on the lower performance side... n below the entire performance graph it said High Fail/low pass...

I am so so so sorry. This is so upsetting specially as you were so close. I am thinking of you lots .
I have failed plenty of exams in my day so I know what you're going through xxx
