So today marks the completion of my first read of micro. From kaplans I hv read bacteria ( and made notes) , bacterial genetics, parasites , fungi and virology complete. Today I did a quick read of antimicrobials from pharma to get familiar with all terms. I will hv to repeat it and memorise it in this week again.

For this exam , the head, the heart and the hand ( coz I write to practise sometimes ) needs to work together

@sarah ..thanks a lot dear ! Plz don't take one week break . If will mess up with ur speed and rhythm ...try to take maybe 2-3 days off. U hv ur exam in a month or two. Work hard . U will do very well. U hv come so far and must hv out so much effort to come this far. Good luck

Today I did one block of micro ques . I scored 72%. A few answers were plain guesses and I could only do 36 explainations. Wil try to do more tomorrow. . I think my speed is very slow. I felt today I need to start wearing glasses ! I am not satisfied with today's work

Hi Remi. . im good with the breaks. I always need A week break after 2 months of study. Maybe it's diff from others. Anyway GL .

I did my second block of micro uw and scored 74% today. Explainations took 7.5 hours . I gave 3 sittings of 2.5 hours each.

I took 2 days off and went to meet 2 seniors in a different city who had started usmle some years back . One woman is doing this exam from 5 years and she is doing najeeb , has completed kaplans live course and what not . She told me so many new names of books and qbanks and what not ...so I ran away to watch a movie and cried I thought I'm gonna get stuck in this cobweb of usmle exams and will definitely miss meeting some soulmate like Robert pattison in whatever is left of my youth

Then I met the other usmle girl. She had completed all exams and done observerships and everything and was leaving for interviews to usa. She took 2.5 years for everything so I got little hopeful and inspired and came back and resumed my uw.

I memorised last 30 pages of fa micro today ... antimicrobials left

I did my third block of micro uw today. 46 ques, timed tutor , 74%.
Only 34 Explainations done in 6.5 hours ( 1.5 + 1+ 2+ 2)
