Reading the forum today and seeing candidates with multiple attempts at step 3 and yet not being able to pass, reminded me of the situation I was in not too long ago.
FAIL is probably the most hated word, especially after sacrificing our pleasures and devoting ourselves to full time study…boring study!
FAIL can seriously affect our self-esteem and shatter our confidence.
FAIL can make us feel like losers, dare I say ‘idiots’
How can we fail, when we use the same materials and review the same questions and cases that our friends do and they can pass but we cannot?
Is it possible that there is something wrong with our studying strategy or is there something seriously wrong with us?
These feelings are not uncommon and more so in someone who has just learnt of his or her failure. For those of you who are feeling this way and for those who feel despite several attempts at step 3, success seems a distant, I would like to form a group and share my studying techniques and experiences.
Who knows one or some of you may benefit from it.
If you would be interested in being part of this study forum please email me at usmleprep3 and I will add you to the group and hopefully we can start our first session hopefully on Sunday.
There is no charge in being part of the group. If I can help at least one person pass step 3 that will be payment in itself.
