it cant hurt, it is us experience so you could try it out and stay. and if you work real hard, some of those places you can move up to categorical, (luck as well) and then be in a good position. but if not, you might not have any other places if you get out of it... b/c now it is hard. unless you want to try for another field, but even then you could still apply for another specialty next year too.
