after getting statement of need and sending it to the programme...how long does it usually takes for DS2019 to arrive ???
any info highly appreciated

DS 2019 is the Certificate of Eligibility to be signed by the sponsor of J-1 visa, in this case, the ECMFG. You use this for interview purposes in the Consulate of your home country in case you'll obtain visa stamping there. A very impt. doc. you have to carry when you enter u.s. coz u have to show it to the immigration inspector at the port of entry.

4-6 weeks for ECFMG to process your applications and issue the DS 2019 to the TPL. Ask your TPL to mail the DS2019 to you ASAP.
