I failed step 3 for the first time when I took it in Dec. 2014. My biostatistics score was below average. What resources should I use? I will re-take the exam at the end of July. Thanks for your help in advance.
1. Uworld dot com have a whole Biostat Chapter Review with over 15 topic tests, for like 25 $ or so.
2. A very good book - High Yield Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Public health 4th ed., Anthony N Glaser, you can check it on amazon dot com.
3. A great resources is the new (green ones) Kaplan Lecture notes for Step 3 2016. They have pharm adds too.
This is what I used and I'm currently in the middle between Day 1 and Day 2....
Good luck
Wish me good luck too, please.

@vesodoc:
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
vesodoc, how was the part one ? are you a resident ?
Part 1 was hard for me.
I am a an IMG, Psychiatry resident, actually graduating next month.
Day 1 - lots of, lots of, lots of statistics, most of them are simple sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV, LR+/- qxs,
NNT, NNH, ARR, meta analysis, several regarding the biases, clinical studies. If you do uworld statistics, including the Biostat Review, you might be good, we'll see.
Another point: a lot of pathology! Don't underestimate this. They'll give you a picture of something, or a clinical situation that you'd guess the diagnosis easily, but then you'll have like 5 pathological mechanisms to get to this disease, or condition...I swore a lot during this part
Hope they caught that on camera
))
Good luck everyone.
