Hi guys, I passed step 3, phew!! My score is not great but I'm glad I'm through with it.
It was certainly the toughest of all the exams in USMLE. I barely had 2.5 months to prepare as I was working and I had to take this exam in time to have the score to apply for this season. My only suggestion to all those who are preparing to take this exam is - work hard, step 3 surely is the culmination of USMLE and is not to be taken lightly.
I used MTB 2 and 3- read both once, archer CCS - did all the clips once, UW MCQs and CCS- did both once and took notes. I revised my notes over and over again, even when travelling in subway. I practiced CCS lots in the gap between my two exam days. I did well on CCS and mediocre on MCQs per my score report. I wanted to use more study material but I didn't have time.
Day 1 questions very difficult for me and day 2 questions were relatively better but I was running out of time on both days for MCQs. CCS was pretty good and I always finished before time ended.
For the last 3 weeks I was dreading the result day and had palpitations during the days and sleepless nights thinking about my misery and the outcome of this exam. Now I feel relieved that its all behind my back.
That's pretty much I have to share about my step 3 experience. All the very best to everyone here and hope you all reach your goals! CHEERS
