In the actual Exam do you get points for getting the work up plan correct? (I.e physical exam, labs, image) but your tx plan was incorrect? I recently took my test and although I felt confident on the CSS I know I screwed up the tx of two cases.
Yes you get points for the physical exam and work up.
Thanks brakata
how was ur test overall?

any pointers? taking it end of march, thank you sir and good luck

I'm sure ull be ok
Day 1 felt long but doable. A lot of Biostatics in each block. There were a wide range of topics tested so if you don’t know an answer just do a quick educated guess and keep moving. You are going to feel weird after this day so try to don’t overthink it.
Day 2 felt more straightforward, MCQ were I think easier this day. CSS was just like UW, I had like 8-9 similar cases from there (+ patients showed signs of improvement) and the other cases were easy to know what the dx was but I forgot the complete tx for 2 cases.

In summary you should be fine with UW +/- a review book (I used FA). It’s a long test so try to plan your breaks and food/drinks in both days.

I think I did ok but I’ll know for sure in a couple weeks.

Good Luck to everyone, I hope a successful step 3 to everyone.

thanks for the quick reply buddy

good luck on results!
@img 1990, I am having difficulty used to with ccs format specially the advancing the clock like should I click on next available text result or just increase the clock time with the updown arrow?
Next, say like in emergency case after say like needle thoracostomy, if I want to do chest tube insertion, I wasnot able to write it anywhere. The only thing I was able to write on that question was order and that's it. How to familiarize with this I have no idea. Please help.
It depends really on the patient and its current condition. In my case I preferred to use the up down arrow because using the next available test can be a bit of waste of time. Don’t be afraid to go forward in time if you are confident with your prescription.

I’m not sure if I understood the second part of the question, normally you can write chest tube in orders and the software recognize it. What I did if I was not sure if something was in the software, I opened UW interactive cases and write the proceedings or medication and look if it were available.
Thankyou img 1990.
The issue with me is I don't see the tab to write the prescription, counselling etc. Is it in the order again? then the difference is only time factor but it will be in the order itself. Too confusing to get along with this software. On top of that, 10min is not enough at all, after the remaining 2min,you cant even change the location-only thing is diagnosis of the case.
