Hello,
i am asking when to advance the clock while doing ccs cases?!

for example, after i order initial labs, then what do i press? ( next available results) or ( advance by changing the number of minutes)?

if i do advance clock by ( next available results ) option , i feel like am waisting time, specially in ER cases ,

if i do change the clock by ( changing the minutes ), it feels like am letting patient wait for a long time waiting for results!

how to advance the clock appropriatly ?

Thanks
if i were you I would listen to the Archer CCS youtube video initially, it answers All your above questions and gives an oritentation of how you should proceed. in youtube you can type usmle archer ccs step 3, there is a 5 hour video I suggest you listen; I am planning to buy the archer ccs subscription but for now I need to do uworld ccs first, and listening to that archer 5 hour ccs youtbue video helped clear all questions I had, so now when I am practicing it makes sense.

hope this helps

but just to answer you question, You want to advance your clock to get results because you need to make it happen in the case to earn points, dont just sit or wait because you have 10 or 20 minustes; and when you advance the clock you are not losing time or making the patient wait, it is as if time freezes in the simulation, basically you are not making the patient wait; if there is no abnormality in tests then hit continue to see next result, but if there is abnormality in test or a notification pops up and says patient not feeling better or blah blah, then you hit STOP on the clock, dont hit continue because in that scenario you lost your time to intervene and do what you should do. basically all this is discussed in the 5 hour video and he shows it to you as well.
