@mutation

thanks for the explanation .. makes sense .. i was getting a bit confused when i was doing uw q no 186..

so basically diastolic failure .. increases LVEDP while systolic failure results in LVEDP as well as LVEDV

did 2 blocks today morn .. will review in the eve ,, started cvs ,, will try and finish today .. looks big and i wont be able to study fm 2.30 to 4.30 ... 2 hrs .. that means atleast 12 pgs less for today ..

i dont know why the heart has to murmur so much ,, wish it d be more frank and outgoing .. and say .. yes i am a MR or a MS or watevr it is ..

@mutation .,, wats so special about the left lat decubitus position .. i mean why do u hear MR and S3 murmurs best in this position?

Owl, I'll respond to that in an hour or so if you don't mind, just got back from doing some errands. Getting settled to get back into gear.

I'm back. Owl, I'm not too sure why the left lateral decubitus position is better for MR and S3 murmurs. It's a good question though. It might be because that might increase the pressure on the left side of the heart, intensifying the MR and the S3? I'm not too sure though, sorry. I'll definitely give it a look later tonight and let you know if I find something.

Acute gastritis is reversible but peptic ulcer disease is NOT because it goes into the muscular region.
