A is correct: it is HIV, the other options can be excluded
it is the seroconversion period that can mimic the description

malaria.

checked on the internet, all the symptoms and the chronological events point towards malaria.

i was surprised to find that u can even get symptoms like sore throat, dry cough which will confuse you in the beginning of the disease with flu and cold.

also, dermatological manifestations may be present, especially in the falciparum infection.

anyways, let's wait until ulise tells us the correct answer.

thanks ulise, in this case I will pick dengue if the incubation period was less than 10 days, by the way, serologic test for dengue was negative.

This dude during his 8 weeks stay forget about the basic rules and unfortunately knocked on the wrong door to have fun. Sorry some fun are not fun at the end.

Mlaria films were negative...dont overthink ...are negative because you have to exclude malaria...

its dengue!!!!!!!!!!!! its endemic here in the philippines..we get lots of dengue cases here..
please correct me if im wrong but i think its the best answer..symptoms of HIV will not manifest in that short period of time..(i think) plus low platelet count is very suggestive of dengue..could be malaria because of the chill fever cycle..Lyme disease, i dunno. i think there are no vectors here..dengue is of course viral so serological test is not 100 % diagnostic...(i think)
