hi friends..
just reached back home after interviewing at Nassau..
The interview experience was not great.. interviewed by 3 faculty members.. lots of unnecessary core psych questions.. Chairman Dr. Rao is nice but he hardly ever interviews candidates. We only had a short introduction with him after which he left. The program director Dr. Sperber has worked with imgs since long but could not stop himself from asking subject questions. They claimed that they usually take residents with 6 MONTHS of US psych experience!! ( Its interesting to note how candidates with 6 months of US experience end up choosing their affiliated program when most university programs would welcome them)
Residents are 90% IMGs but did not get to meet them in person. Was only able to interact with a 3rd year resident who took us on lunch and hospital round....
The positives are that they have a lot of inpatient beds and plan to start fellowship program within a couple of years..

hello everyone,
got a letter from st louis university. the wordings seem quite generic.. like you are a good candidate..and stuff.. not reading too much into it.. I am sure the same letter would ve gone out to atleast 25-30 more candidates!!

texas tech Lubbock - 3
St. Elizabeth, DC - 8
Nassau - 2
Hennepin, Minnesota - 4
Maimonides, Ny - 2
Brookdale, NY - None
North general, NY - 1
East tennesse - 6 ( no prematch offeres this year)
there are others as well.. I know the information is there on nrmp but this is just for those who might ve missed seeing it.
