@chipliza: no worries, my apologies too, this is a wee bit stressful....i've had to take 2 days off of work which means a lower paycheck, and to see no results, is well....irritating

Guys do you think if I take step 3 and do research in any medical field this year in medicine, Would my chances improve in getting a position next year?

it helps but still there is no guarantee in this game
you spent all this time studyin and studyin and its a very compeitive process
most importantly everybody needs to get a job am i right? if you did not match or scramble
then we have to move on? or else we all become patients for the residents and attendings to study off

i already did step3, though not high to let the program know...
my paper is better than most fellows...

even i finished step 3, and i have a couple of publications too... that hasnt helped, probably because i finished step 3 in jan2012 and my research abstracts were ready in february and there was no way to include them in my ERAS Application...
maybe if i can include them, will it make a difference, i doont know, cant say...

guys... i heard that programs are offering who they interviewed previouly and reapplied in SOAP.
