HI guys,
I know it`s not what u think,
Its my exam experience, ha ha haaaa got u all
Yes i took my exam today
Its neither too hard nor too easy.
and i was this relaxed even before the exam, acutally i`m feeling tensed now about my score
i know i`m not a 99er
i was not so active member in the forum, just a post here, a post there
prepared for 3 months full time

first 2 months-- studied about 8-10 hrs a day
last month-- 12-14 hrs a day

study materials-- as usual the golden trio-- Goljan, kaplan and FA

Q banks--
usmlerx-- right from the start of the prep for a month -- cumulative --64
usmleworld - towards the end of my prep-- cumulative 63

last 15 days-(did nt study that hard) notes from q banks
(i cud`nt study for almost last 2 weeks due to health reasons)

nbme
form 1 -- 300 -- at the start of prep(ie 3 months ago)
form 2-- 520 -- 3 weeks before the big one

usmlecd
41, 40, 41 -- 4 days before the test

now the actual exam
there-- were no hox/pax genes in my exam
no rare genes or rare mol bio concepts
patho-- was heavily tested as everone knows
pharmo-- next
micro-- next
if u know these 3 subjects thoroughly u can answer atleast 60%q

anatomy

got 12-14 ul nerve inujuries
3-4 q from lower limb
LAD(know all ur coronaries and the areas they supply)-- had 3 q from that

physio

this was my scary subject
but i was lucky i didn`t get that scary q
know all ur endocrine disorders and feedback inhibitions
Inhibin-- 3 q
ADH --- 5-6 q
aldosterone --2/3
MEN
leuprolide
finasteride
levothyroxine
DM- 8 q
raloxifene
elctrolyte abnoramilities and acid base disturbance were heavily tested in my exam got almost 20-24 q -- scenarios, most of them in the form of graphs , up and down arrows
restrictive and obstructive -- lung volume changes-- graphs
dialted and restrictive cardiomayopathy -- graphs
excitation-- contraction coupling-- 3/4 q
secritin-- hco3 -- graph

(i was heavily tested on musculoskeltal diseases - which i`m very poor at-- i got even poor performance on this topic in nbme exams, i neglected it again and i did not prepare well)

developmental milestone in a 7 month old
separation anxiety disorder
SSRIs-- increased latency in ejaculation

genetics
a hardy-weinberg problem

guys the questions are very very long that i had rush answering the last 10 q in every block
the exam is most like usmleworld -- some 2 step and some 3 step thinking
fro almost half the q i got either a pic-- ct/mri/gross/histo,,, graphs,,, up and down arrow diagrams,,, schematics
so plz go thru the pics before u take the test-- do not neglect pics
i got only 2 one liners, rest of them all very very long
the rest u all know-- take good rest the day before---------stuff

that`s it my friends from my exam
i would like to thank all the active forum members who have contributed immensly to the forum by bringing up q, materials,boosting up the confidence in times of need
