congrats for all of u have passed, please share with us what mistakes u did on ur exam,in terms of:
forgetting: knocking door, washing hands, calling patient by name, counselling, closure, running out of time, and other stuff.....
this will be of great help for upcoming applicants, and others waiting for their scores.

forgot to counsel one patient about smoking and other habits. I also forgot to do fundoscopy on diabetic and HPN patient, I asked the patient to repaet her chief complaint twice (was so flusterred by this time)

i did many.
forget to pull leg rests in 3-4 pts.
could nt complete two cases.
forget to write some imp investigations in pt notes.
n many more.

Honestely, I think I was so focused in knocking, washing hands, counseling and displaying empathy, that I am not sure what I have missed. Probably I failed the physical examination: I visited the patients the way I do with all the patients focusing on the main complain but also examining all the major systems. I guess I do better with real patients. My major mistake was probably not having prepared the exams with american students. The CS is a fake scenario: I approached it as if these were real patients. I guess it does not work that way.

yes sal72 u r very rite.cs is big drama n inorder to pass it u should be a good actor.thatz key to pass it.just follow the things written in uw n practice it n plz do nt consider sp as real pt.they r acting n u should be acting aswell.any i wish best of luck in future.if u need my help i ll be more than happy to help in all regards.

I ran out of time in one case, not having time to counseling in this case but I said bye for the patient...
I ran out of time in the middle of counseling in another case..
I ran out of time in 2 more cases... actually those may not count because I was finishing but they opened my door and asked me to get out of the room....but with the patient I was done..
so they opened my door 4 times...
forgot to put some important diferential diagnosis in 3 cases...
forgot to do cardio and pneumo exam in a orto case...
forgot to counseling about drinking in one case...
hand writing was a mess in 3 cases.... out of order on the history part....ran out of space, so I put some things in top that should be in the bottom like FH and SH...
but I did all the expected ... wash hands, drape, nice with them, calm no rushing them, but inside was nervous, said nice to meet you in the begining and at the end, introduced apropiately ... that was all I remember
