I have applied to 70 programs in GS, 1999 graduate, 93/92/pass/86, 3 US LOR, Research Experience 1 year in US, 30 pubmed publications, yet no ivs?? why is that??

30 pubmed publications.............thats amazing...............i think then u r well qualified for a post of research assistant prof in any of the universities...................why bother doing residency

Yeah I guess, ure right but i wanted to have a board certification. I have already done my subspeciality in oncology. dont see myself as a researcher. Is it tough for old graduates to get a residency position????

apply to physician scientist programs and you will have a guarantee to continue a fellowship of your choice!

physician scientist programs are all the way more competitive as AMGs who are into MD/PhD apply there...............also they have just 1-2 positions/yr...........
