0 - ArchivalUser - 12-19-2007 eid mubarak to everybody. 0 - ArchivalUser - 12-19-2007 fmgindia_2005 first of all i think you have been little unlucky to have got no interview. that being said i would like to point out a few gross things that you should try to do. 1. ecfmg certification though just a paper means a lot when it comes to applying. get that done as early as possible. 2. you applied way late. try not to repeat it. 3. us lors go a long way in getting you interviews. 4. any group or company that promises you to get externships is nothing but a scam. try to keep away from them. 5. what is really left for you is scramble. now dont get dejected about scramble. a lot of positions come to scramble. ofcourse all prelims but they give you a reason to spend a year and also become your usce (actually the best usce) also if you impress the guys you are working for, you can get a excellent lor which would make a big difference. 6. if you can, try to finish off step 3 before scramble. it sure is an added advantage plus you can take h1b if sponsored. hope this helps 0 - ArchivalUser - 12-19-2007 Thanks CS, I really appreciate this. I don't need visa. but if I don't get in scramble where do I go for USCE? I am so depressed . I dunno what to do and what not to. What abt observerships? 0 - ArchivalUser - 12-19-2007 if you dont need visa, your chances of making in scramble is high. so cheer up. just try to improve your application. 0 - ArchivalUser - 12-19-2007 guys, did anyone get ant response to the thank you letters? i never any reply to those. 0 - ArchivalUser - 12-19-2007 hey cs i got one reply .... only three lines though... it says.. pleasure meeting you.. i am highly thinking of you... hope things will work out.. this was from one good university program.. 0 - ArchivalUser - 12-19-2007 Thank you CS 0 - ArchivalUser - 12-19-2007 why thank you god help us 0 - ArchivalUser - 12-19-2007 CS The thank you is for your advice above..It is wise.. 0 - ArchivalUser - 12-19-2007 yep baal dhoop mein safed nahein hote hain. |
