no i didnt hear anything form upenn. i met a guy on an intervoiew and he told me one of his friend from india accepted a prematch at upenn. did u hear some thing from upenn?

i recived 2 rejctions one form st luke PA and other from st joseph hospital phonix arizona ( the one with new gen surgery program )

i do not know whether j1 research cuts into j1 clinical but onething i can tell you this, h1 clinical and h1 research are freely interchangeable but j1 is not like that. its possible to cahnge from one j1 to another but you have to apply again.

according to me its possible to change from h1 to j1 but not the other way around.

theoretically speaking if you change rotations you can possibly do pgy1 again but i dont know whether exchange visitor sponsorship program accepts it.

h1 preliminary or h1 research, which is better? its my own view that h1 preliminary is better. with h1 prelim in your bag even if you dont get cat spot you can always apply for research positions in big places.

western pennsylvania hospital is still reviewing applications and summa health akron city will send out mails on 18 of this month. still some hope for people who have applied here. GL.
