Testicular cancer and ovarian idetification on the basis of tumor markers

1. Seminoma : the most common type : LDH
2. Non seminomas : choriocarcinoma : b-Hcg
3. ????

please someone help me with this ..

for seminoma Idont know why!
but for choriocarsinoma,because it is originally from synsisiotrophoblast,and chorion

i just want to know the specific tumor markers for the diff cancer types ..

the ones which are specific ..

seminoma-PLAP
choriocarcinoma-hcg
leydig cell-estrogen
teratoma-hcg/afp
endodermal sinus tumor-afp

3. Embryonal carcinoma: b-hcg/AFP
4. Yolksac carcinoma: AFP
5. Teratoma: none

TESTICULAR GERM CELL TUMORS:

*Seminoma=placental alkaline phosphatse
*Embryonal Ca=(non specific)AFP,B-hCG
*Chorioca=B-hCG
*Yolk sac tumors=AFP(and remeber schiller duvall bodies)

~AFP(alpha fetoprot)is never elevated in seminoma.
~LDH may be elevated in either type.
~Liver function elevated in presence of mets.
~Anemia on advanced cases.
