Congrats usmle9989. Dont worry about the quality of the program at this stage. Start preparing for the interviews. I am just wondering how easy is it in Psychiatry to get a transfer in PGY II?

no matter wat folks say...prepare well for iv.....at least it will be an experience....
i've heard iserson's book for getting into residency is good.....not read myself...
i have got my first rejection from emory.....feel pretty low....no iv calls....
applied to 66 progs so far......
how r things with others??

Hi, I am 2004 graduate and also applying for psychiatry.
Applied 80 programs(UH and CH both). I just did not apply to the place who want passing on first attempt o 80 or above on both steps).
step 1- 93
step 2 - 79 on 2nd attempt
CS- pass
Step 3 is at the end of Sep
15 months externship under temporary medical license in uni hospital in Canada.
1 research is in process of submission in IJGP. Second research is going through the first draft.
I am just worried abt my step 2 score and I donno how much its gonna kill me.
Please suggest me somehing.
