transcription and translation are coupled i.e., ribosome-mediated protein synthesis can begin while an mRNA is being produced and is still attached to the DNAWHY

WHY?

0 - ArchivalUser - 06-04-2008

occurs only in prokaryotes, thats coz they don need any post transcriptional modification of mRNA

because prokaryotes have no nuclei, therefore translation&transcripton occurs simultaneously
